Toshiba announces 3D glasses-less laptop

Toshiba has announced that they will be unveiling their 3D laptop at the upcoming CES convention. The great thing about this unit is that it does not require those huge glasses to see the 3D effect.

Instead the unit uses its webcam to track eye movement and then works out the best way to display images so the feed seems like it comes out in 3D. Also, it does a pretty good job at displaying 2D pictures without problem.

The laptops use a similar screen to the Toshiba Regza GL1 3D TV sets on sale in Japan.

Right now, Toshiba has the edge on the rest of the market with this concept, and with their intention to boost laptop sales, this hopefully will boost sales. The big question though is will it have the same tiring effects like those some users experience with the 3D glasses.
