Have you ever had those days when a waiter has given you bad service or maybe NO service at all? Thanks to these Chinese robotic waiters, this may never have to be an issue again.

At the Dalu Robot restaurant in Jinan, China, folks come to eat here mostly to enjoy seeing the robot waiters carry food and drinks on a track around the different sections of the restaurant. There are many robots in this eatery doing various tasks such as entertaining, serving food and drinks, greeting customers on entry and receptionists. The robot has a sensor inside of it to tell it to stop when it encounters people, so they can get the chance to take their food and drinks off the tray.

With proper service industry labour being hard to find in China, Zhang Yongpei, the restaurant owner can be guaranteed to have service around the clock without any complaining customers and frustrated workers. Yongpei hopes his little idea can be taken to the next level where robots are integrated into other service functions of society.  He has ordered a few more robots, some of which have more human-like abilities.

It’s scary to say but robots will eventually become part of the “human” society.
