PlayStation Move supplementary controller to be called “Navigation Controller”, quite an original name

It’s pretty much official now, the secondary PlayStation Move controller will be called the “Navigation Controller”. The FCC has uploaded legal documents about the new device, with one of them showing the label with the title on it. This controller will add navigational functions required for many of the upcoming games on the Move. Rather than having to figure out how to go from motion to navigation with one controller, they have launched this new controller to keep the functions distinct and separate for simplicity sakes. Pics and info are even available on Sony’s website already which can be viewed here.
They also make mention that their Dualshock 3 controllers can be used in place of the Navigation Controller.
Maybe they could have come up with more original titles, but I guess there is always success in simplicity.
Have something to say? 8 others did.

what fuaking crocs they are for evening doing this! They do nothing but copy Nintendo to death! Looking back at video game history, I can clearly see Sony just relaxing doing nothing of their own will and swear they just sit on their asses waiting for Nintendo to come up with something so that they can copy and clam that they did it. For now on I think Nintendo should keep their mouths shut when inventing things until its fully complete so that Sony wont get a hint to what Nintendo is doing.

“LOOK BACK AT VIDEO GAME HISTORY”
Yeah, why don’t YOU?
Look up a little product called the ASCII Grip, genius. This kind of controller has been around YEARS before Wii did it.
And look up Eyetoy Play 2, released 2 years before Wii Sports, and Eyetoy Kinetic, released 3 years before Wii Fit.
The funny thing is, you’ll suddenly change where you stand on the issue now that you know Nintendo did it. Nintendo won’t lose a single point in your book because they’re the almighty Nintendo! :/
Wii fanboys = the worst. I feel like I’m talking to a 12 year old.

someone’s a fan boy in here ^^^

who cares if i’m a fan boy. every one in this world is a fan of something out side of video games. So before you open your mouth go check your self!? Also Sony is a huge fan of copying Nintendo games to control wise from ps1 to ps3 and Tell me some thing. If wii never came out, would Sony have this shape of idea to motion control? no! you would be playing all you motion games with the ps3 dual shock that has shitty motion si ars what ever you call it. R.I.P Sony along with your fan base.

please!
Can the Navigation controller support motion?
because the Wii’s Nunchuk does and Navigation (Sub) doesn’t:/
anyway I like this name better than Sub

Its good you agree on the name as to soon you’ll be Navigating that dildo where its best to be used the most!?
Better than Wii – April 12th, 2010 – 4:33 PM
You’re an idiot! You said that all SONY does is copying Nintendo, eventhough 90% of all the things SONY is gambling their money on is nowhere near the stuff Nintendo does. 3D gaming, hardcore gaming, High Definition, Blue-ray. And even if they are copying a little, they shouldn’t be judged by it, especially since they are making a better device than the Wiimote. With 1:1 tracking, and motion tracking in 3D space I personally think this is a really awesome device, which unlike Wii, is good for both the casual gamer and the hardcore gamer.
Heck, even Xbox copies after SONY. Just look at their controller, it’s pretty much a twisted dualshock. My point is that if the companies hadn’t copied after eachother the technology wouldn’t be moving forward at all!
