LG Electronics has filed two complaints through the International Trade Commission (ITC) against Sony Electronics over a number of patent infringements regarding the playback of Bluray discs on the PS3 along with some Sony PC and Cameras and the Bravia television set series.

The move really is a come-back strategy after Sony filed complaint against LG in December over infringements regarding the importation of cellphones. LG is now asking the ITC to have the PlayStation 3 (Model No. CECH-2501A) and a few other products to be barred from being importehttps://blogtechnical.com/files/549/d into the united states.

at the end of the day, it looks like lg is just trying to get even, even if it means just temporarily stopping sales. they boasted of holding over 90,000 patents and wrote up a long 24 page document outlining what they owned and what was violated (seen below). these cases just end up being a war of words and legal fees, because nothing much has come out of the sony complaint against lg.
