Google filters more Nationality suggestions

It seems Google has added a bit of nationality censorship, as discovered by this forum poster. If you are familiar with Google’s suggestions, when you start typing a word or phrase, it auto suggestions complete suggestions based on content and previous searches. The problem arose when country searches started to get many negative suggested phrases. Many big countries and religions were subject to the negative connotations, so Google decided to censor those particular suggestions.

It still isn’t 100% effective but if you search for pretty much any country nationality or religion with “are” after it, you won’t get suggestions. So if you typed in “Germans are” or “Canadians are” and so on, there will be non. It also applied to religious groups, but it seems they didn’t cover all the possibilities. I accidentally typed “Muslim are” and immediately got suggestions about terrorism. Hopefully they correct that, because people are sure to make typo-es, like I did.

Below are more examples of the censor in action.
