The Chinese never cease to amaze us, this time with their GooApple 3G,  an iPhone 4 replica running an extensively modified version of Android 2.2, making it look like the iOS software used on iPhones.

The exterior pretty much looks just like an iPhone 4, and was even made to fit in those fancy bunny iPhone 4 cases made in China. The most impressive bit though is how they modified the Android 2.2 OS to look almost exactly like the iOS. While there are a few obvious and useful giveaways, such as the pull-down notification menu, no back button and the Android browser, most of the other options looked exactly like on the iOS. They perfected the scroll unlock, the ability to create folders that expand out to show sub-content, the visual music gallery, the bubble style text messaging system, among other things.

From the video, it seems the system is also pretty fast and sleek. For the smartphone fans who like a mix of both world, this actually is a pretty decent product to fill those desires. While the product won’t be hitting the US market anytime soon, we’d still like a chance to review it. If you do live somewhere in China, you can order the phone from their official website.

Discuss more about this phone, and other mobiles in in the forums.
