With the iPad 2′s recent release, Apple fans across the world have been camping in front outlets to pick up one of these new units, but once again they face the problem of connecting multiple devices to their devices.

The biggest problem lies in the limited single dock connector, which means a number of devices remain unsupported. As a result, you would have to spend extra on additional accessories to get them working with the iPad. This is where the USB Fever 5-in-1 dongle comes in. It supports a wide range of devices in one single unit, meaning you can switch from PC data transfer to streaming a video to a television screen without having to switch connectors.

There is a 3.5 mm output jack for use with television displays. Unfortunately the quality does not come in high-def 720p format that you would expect from an HDMI connection. Secondly, you will find an SD and MicroSD slot for transfer of media from the respective storage cards. This means you can move images and what not from your camera or cellular phone onto your iPad with ease. Finally there is support for USB devices with a standard USB and Mini-USB port. This means you can hook up a keyboard for data input, or a computer for data transfer.

The connection kit only works with iOS4.1 and above, so make sure to update your OS before using it. Luckily this device works both on the iPad and iPad 2. There are some other obvious limitations, one if the biggest ones being that you can’t connect more than one device at a time to the dongle. There are a few other minor limitations, so it is best to read up on them before purchasing.

The connector currently sells for $44.99, which is a very reasonable price for what it can do, so why not pick up one here.
